Another enjoyable evening on Wednesday 15th April 2009 when the cast of Flashdance mixed with the Friends of the Pavilion at the After Show Party. See pictures from the party.

Envelope Stuffing

The Spring Envelope stuffing session in April was completed in record time. A big thank you to all the Friends who turned up and helped.

Sleeping Beauty After Show Party

The Friends held their After Show Party for the 2008 Pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, on Saturday 20th December 2008. As usual there was a good number of members there. The Cast were also in attendance. Gareth Owen, Theatre Manager, thanked the Cast for their hard work and also the Friends for all there support throughout the year with particular reference to the Save the Theatre petition which had over 20,000 signatures. Pavilion Worth £4 Million to Rhyl

In October 2008 Professor Dominic Shellard issued a report stating the the Pavilion Theatre generates more than £4 million for the local economy. See the Rhyl Journal Website for more on this story.

22,000 Signatures

The Save The Theatre Action Group (STAG) which had been actively supported by the Friends of the Pavilion handed over a petition containing over 22,000 signatures to Denbighshire County Council in protest at proposed cuts to the theatre's subsidy.
